2021 is upon us and I find myself focused on setting some digital goals for the new year. Here’s a few of the items on my mind, and perhaps they can be on yours as well.
Make sure my WordPress Website is up to date
WordPress 5.6 came out on December 8, 2020, which means now is a good time to update your WordPress Core, Themes, and Plugins. Keeping your website tuned up will improve performance and keep out bad guys and viruses.
Check my GMB Listing
Due to Covid-19, Google My Business (or GMB, the panel on the right side of Google that has your business information) has undergone quite a few changes recently, with businesses changing their hours, services, and many other details more often than usual. Take a moment to make sure you have access to your GMB, then use their tools to make any corrections you deem necessary.
Check my Website for Speed
Using some great free online tools like Google Page Speed Insights or Web.dev can reveal to you your website’s load time and offer some great ideas to improve it. The faster the website, the more users and robots love it.
